Chi
Tai Chi tuition and exercises are a twice weekly on-site occasion
in Faringdon Village. Come along to the Community Centre to meet
fellow residents and enjoy the physical and mental benefits of
this ancient art form. |

Bowls
The very active Nambucca Bowling Club is about 1½ kms from the
Village. There's an excellent program of both social and
competitive bowls. |

There is a good choice of cafes, coffee shops, bistros and fine
dining restaurants in Nambucca Heads at prices to suit every

Activities
Consider joining the Nambucca
Valley Arts Council. They have a regular program of concerts,
outdoor fairs, writers group, singers group and sponsor other
local artistic endeavours as well. |

Fishing
River fishing is a mere five minute level walk from the Faringdon
Village retirement complex. There are many other places to engage
in fishing pursuits from beach, rocks, boat, jetty or river
foreshore. The most commonly caught local species are bream,
flathead, blackfish, mullet and whiting. |

Theatre
The Nambucca heads 3 screen Cinema Complex is located just three
minutes walk from Faringdon Village. Absolutely ideal. |

Clubs
The following four licensed clubs welcome new members and
visitors. The annual fees are extremely modest compared to many
city clubs. Nambucca Heads offers an RSL Club, Golf
Club, Bowling Club and a Leagues Club. |

Men's Shed
It's a place where skilled and unskilled men can share time with
each other, swap yarns and work together on community projects.
Make or repair toys, small furniture and other items. Some for
donations, some to sell! Retired men will find the shed a great
social place. Men seeking new interests or skills will find it a

Tennis
If you are keen on tennis you will find a complex of four courts
in Gordon Park just 1½ kilometres scenic level walk from

Swimming
Of course we have a magnificent residents' swimming pool right
here in the Village complex. There's also a heated indoor swimming
pool in town. In addition there are multiple riverside swimming
beaches (nearest is 700 metres level walk) and there are multiple
local surf beaches as well. |

Bingo
Group
Faringdon Village residents meet for bingo in our on-site
Recreation Centre every week. This is a great place to meet some
friends and have plenty of laughs. |

Picnics
Nambucca Valley is blessed with so many lovely picnic reserves,
most of which are beside a river or ocean beach. Given our

Bushwalking
Group
The Kyeewa walking group are an extremely active group of mainly
middle aged and elderly hikers. Hikes occur twice weekly and have
